Block Out Continued

Today's session saw further work on the block out of the mansion with some slight changes to the design to fit the architecture of the 19th Century, notably the bay windows.

To aide the development of the house, a mood board on Pinterest was assembled to look at architecture features of the 19th century for this type of house, in particular looking at bay windows.

As a result of looking into the architectural designs from the 19th century the house block out model was changed accordingly to make the architectural style of the period.

In both figures 25 & 26, it can be seen with the bay windows that they are angular rather round, which they had originally intended to be. As a result the model was changed accordingly, as seen in figures 27-29.

Changes were also made to the roof, switching the angled roof to the side rather the front, once again to represent design features from the 19th century.  Block out's of the bay windows were sent to Connor Burdett as Connor is the interior house creator, as such all design features that change the floor area to have an affect on the interior need to shared  and updated with Connor, as seen in figure 30.

Today the group also discussed what assets would be created in each individual section of the game, see figure 31.  For the exterior, a model axe will need to be created.  Scale and sizes issue that had occurred previously were resolved as scaling and sizing was correct originally, the interior walls of the house were felt to be too thick which caused the confusion.  Further discussion took place over sounds and noises in the levels, as well as possible music being put in the game to heighten tensions for the player.  It was suggested that the group could use musical students to create music for the game.
